Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb has shared the difficult news of his divorce from husband Daniel Lustig, just months after the passing of his mother.
Stephen, a familiar face on Channel 4's popular show, has been entertaining audiences since its debut in 2013 alongside his best friend Chris Butland-Steed. After Chris's departure in 2018, Stephen continued the show with his mother, Pat, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Daniel joined the cast in February 2019, and the couple decided to step away from Gogglebox in 2023 as Stephen prepared for his participation in Dancing on Ice.
On April 20, the couple announced their split after six years of marriage, with both expressing their continued affection for one another. Stephen stated, “It’s with much sadness that Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there, but we’ve unfortunately grown apart.”
Daniel echoed these sentiments in his own statement, sharing that their decision was made with a heavy heart but affirming, “I’m sure we will forever be friends.”
The pair got engaged in 2016 and married in July 2018 at the Chateau de Lisse in France. They previously shared a £575,000 flat near Brighton but moved out in 2021. Both hairdressers, Stephen and Daniel co-own a salon, making them business partners as well.
Despite their divorce, they have been seen together enjoying activities like biking in Brighton, indicating that they are committed to maintaining their friendship. Daniel even shared a lighthearted video with the caption, “Riding tandem straight out of this marriage #beryl #bff,” while Stephen posted a celebratory selfie with friends.
It appears that the former couple is navigating this transition amicably and remains supportive of each other.
