Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Electrical Technician to join our service team at the Lal Lal Wind Farm. The ideal candidate will possess a recognized Australian trade certificate and be ready to contribute to the maintenance and operation of wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on wind turbines.
- Respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of regular hours as part of a rostered team.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean, operational condition.
- Operate high and low voltage systems within the limits of your training and authorization.
- Ensure all tasks prioritize personnel safety and environmental protection.
- Complete site inductions and adhere to Service Maintenance Agreements.
- Comply with OH&S legislation and contribute to accident prevention initiatives.
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Electrical trade certificate.
- Full clean driving license.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in PC and modern technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems is a plus.
- Strong motivation to learn and grow in the renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of safety principles and commitment to compliance.
- Experience with HV/LV systems, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient use of hand tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Comfort with heights and confined spaces.
